"The beauty of the Hudson Valley inspires me to create my artwork.  I embrace the challenge to produce an image in pastels that equals the amazing local landscapes that I choose to represent.   I have selected a variety of locations from the region as my subject matter.  My drawings are done plein air in a spontaneous manner.  Most are finished in a two to three hour sitting.  The feeling of that particular day and time and place naturally appears."

"The enjoyment I receive from the creative process of plein air painting is instantly rewarding.  The fresh air, the light, and the history of the site all inspire me.  Capturing these qualities in my landscapes and sharing them with others is a fulfilling experience for me.  My artwork has given me a humble feeling of accomplishment."
